This was the kind of stuff I was afraid of:
COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The highest-ranking black congressman says opposition to the federal stimulus package by southern governors is "a slap in the face of African-Americans."
This blog will chronicle the presidency of Barack Obama through the eyes of two men who love God. As the most powerful man in the world - and, by his own testimony, a committed Christian - President Obama is no less responsible to his God than others in the faith. Moreover, his actions as president arguably will have consequences beyond that of any other Christian in the world today.
Do the practices of antebellum slavery (slaves do as instructed, the Big House provides, slaves remain slaves) and big government seem kindred, or is it just me? Perhaps "black leaders" should help themselves to their own advice (given abundantly to white conservatives), and start living in the 21st century.
